Do you find yourself on the ground looking up every time an airplane flies by? Are you filled with wonder when you see SpaceX launch? Are you looking to be a part of something fun, rewarding and in aviation? Do you want to build an airplane? All Yuba/Sutter/Colusa High School students are invited to step into the future of aviation and apply to the TANGO FLIGHT aircraft building course starting this summer.
Tango Fight Incorporated is a 501c3 educational non-profit corporation created to inspire the next generation of engineers, pilots, aviation mechanics and technicians. Their proprietary curriculum provides meaningful classroom learning with real hands-on training. Students apply classroom knowledge to building an actual, FAA certified airplane.
Tango Flight students receive a dual credit curriculum which introduces them to the disciplines of aerospace, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and design engineering.
The Tango Flight course is a free, for-credit class for high school students to build a flying Van’s RV-12iS Light Sport Aircraft. Builders work under the supervision of experienced mentors in a workshop classroom, learning safety procedures, aircraft systems and construction, and aeronautical design concepts.
