As a professional pilot, my job takes me to breathtaking destinations around the world. After completing a fifteen-day work rotation flying across Europe, it’s time to make my way back home to the United States. Join me on this journey as I share my experience of returning from London to California on United Airlines.
After bidding farewell to the charming city of Farnborough, my flight with United Airlines begins at Heathrow Airport. I earn Gold Status with this flight and take advantage of the United Lounge before boarding. The Heathrow lounge is spacious and serves both hot and cold food offerings. I’m on the morning flight and enjoy some hashbrowns with cheese and bacon.
I pull out my headphones as I settle into my seat, ready to embark on a long-haul journey across the Atlantic. As a seasoned pilot, I cannot help but appreciate the meticulousness and professionalism of the United Airlines crew.

It’s a privilege to share this stunning view with passengers, knowing that for some, it may be their first time witnessing the grandeur of America.
