The weather is clear and the spring flowers are blooming at Table Mountain. I told my wife, “Come fly with me, let’s go see the waterfalls”.
North Table Mountain Ecological Preserve is a popular plateau north of Sacramento, near Oroville. It’s a wonderful place to hike and see wildflowers, wildlife and waterfalls. Plan to arrive early if you ever plan to go for a hike. It’s a popular place.
Beautiful yellow, purple and white flowers flow over the plateau just north of the Oroville Dam. If you go for a hike plan to take plenty of water and sunscreen. The Spring weather can be deceptive. Don’t be surprised if you come across a grazing cow or two while hiking.
Several waterfalls are within close hiking distance. Views from both above and below are wonderful.
Hiking the preserve can take an hour or more depending on how much you want to see. Take the day and see it all. You won’t be disappointed.
Don’t forget to check out Lake Oroville after you’re done. The winter rain has filled the lake up and the main dam is active.
The weather is improving. Get out there and enjoy it. Thanks for coming to fly with me.
